Previously on AcademiaSync
Few months ago, Maplewood Academy decided to launch AcademiaSync as the new and secure Maplewood Academy’s academic toolbox (or Learning Management System). The implement of the AcademiaSync is dedicated to facilitate the learning and teaching activities. The previous version of AcademiaSync is based on an open-source software Moodle. After few months of running, it received both compliments and complains from course instructors and students.
New Version of AcademiaSync
Since most of the universities are employing Canvas LMS, another open-source software developed by Instructure Inc., as their learning management system, after a careful consideration, Maplewood Academy decided to move from Moodle to Canvas LMS.
- Canvas LMS has a better user-friendly interface;
- Our students can have a smooth transition from high school to university as we are using the same learning infrastructure as most universities.
Important Info
The new AcademiaSync will be implemented at the beginning of the next school semester, Winter 2024. All course materials will be hosted in the new AcademiaSync platform.
Unfortunately, due to shutdown of the server, information stored in the current Moodle version of AcademiaSync will be no longer accessible. If you have important files or information, please download them before the next semester.
Course instructors and students will continue to use the current Moodle version until the end of the current semester.
