About Us
Know More About Maplewood
Established over 20 years ago, Maplewood Academy is an independent, co-educational high school offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) alongside a strong focus on STEM and Advanced Placement (AP) programs. We currently educate 320 students from Grades 9 through 12.
Rooted in a humanist philosophy, our educational approach honors the intrinsic worth, integrity, and potential of every young person. We empower students to uncover their full agency through intellectual curiosity, ethical inquiry, and scientific reasoning—nurturing minds that seek truth, ask bold questions, and grow through compassion and purpose. We believe these young individuals are the seeds of a more just, peaceful, and enlightened world.
